CSR Commitments of Eiffage Polska 

Eiffage Polska, subsidiary of Eiffage Construction, came to life in 2001 when Eiffage became a strategic investment of Mitex SA a local company existing since 1988. The company operates in two main business areas, construction and real estate, and development, and has more than 350 employees.

As a general contractor for construction services, he specializes in complex building construction and offices, retail, hotel, residential, industrial and sports facilities. Eiffage Polska Immobilier is offering highest quality services tailored to fit clients’ needs. Eiffage in Poland takes into account social values and environmental issues while striving to achieve financial success. The following are some examples of social and environmental actions.

Social Responsibility Policy 

Eiffage implements sustainable development as one of its strategic management goals in general contracting, development activity as well as urban planning, conservation and maintenance of existing buildings. It has been launched to shape and improve the future of Eiffage employees, clients and partners. Eiffage Polska strongly follows Eiffage Group’s missions and values:

Having no formal trade unions yet, employee’s satisfaction and development needs come as a priority at Eiffage Polska. An important approach used to identify its employees’ development needs is an annual interview. Managers discuss with their subordinates about the needs and areas of improvement. Based on gathered information, a training plan is created in order increase employees’ contentment.

Furthermore, this year, for the first time, Eiffage Polska established a CSR Committee. It consists of 6 regular members responsible for developing CSR policy in Eiffage companies in Poland. A coherent and integrated CSR programme / strategy is to be delivered in the second half of 2018.

Eiffage Polska also cares about its clients. They carried out a client’s satisfaction survey this year and majority of companies rated them as “good” and “very good.” They appreciate their cooperation with Eiffage Polska because of its “reliability, professionalism, timelines and regulatory liabilities.”

Health and Safety Policy 

Eiffage Polska has mandatory safety weeks twice a year including site visits, trainings, demonstration of first aid, work on heights, security alarms, etc. It organizes an annual internal Health and Safety competition, ‘Safest Construction Site of the Year’ which aims to improve safety on construction sites.

Eiffage Polska also implements the campaign "Safety is our history" and the "Golden HSE Rules" which fix strict rules concerning the work in height, the protection equipments, the detection of gas, the vehicles' safety and many others else.

Environmental Policy

Eiffage Polska is ISO 14001:2004 certified and is preparing for a recertification audit ISO 14001:2015 this year. ISO 14001:2015 is intended for use by an organization seeking to manage its environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to the environmental pillar of sustainability. Consistent with the organization's environmental policy, the intended outcomes of an environmental management system include:

  • enhancement of environmental performance
  • fulfilment of compliance obligations
  • achievement of environmental objectives

In terms of energy consumption Eiffage Polska monitors the energy in their offices and their construction sites. Different tools have been used for this purpose, such as motion/time power switch, LED lights and others.

Concerning water management, the impact of construction sites on the groundwater level is monitored and regulated according to legal duties.

To reduce noise pollution and environmental pollution, specific attention is paid to the proper selection of equipment and working methods on construction sites.

Engagement with local community

Eiffage Polska is a lot interested in the work with the students. It has the inhalation to be one of the most sought and the most recognizable employers on the Polish market of the construction. Thus his ambition is to attract people committed and motivated to grow up and develop.

Every year, Eiffage Polska organizes internships for the students and cooperates with the universities of technology of Warsaw.

They invited 10 best students from Krakow Technology University to one of the construction sites where they could see and learn about how a real site functions. 44 students took part in the internship program. Eiffage Polska also supports young talented students by sponsoring an annual competition in mathematics for primary and secondary school students.   


Charity actions

Eiffage Polska does a lot of charity work concerning cooperation with orphanages, hospices and different local foundations such as in Warsaw.  They have a long-term cooperation with a children’s home in Warsaw and they sponsor winter holidays for pupils. They have also funded a playing ground for Bielany District in Warsaw.

So far in 2018 they renovated an orphanage for little children and equipped one institution with WiFi in order for the kids to have access to internet during their classes.

Every year, Eiffage Polska collects voluntary gifts among their employees at Christmas time in order to donate them for the ones in need.

They also collect books as part of an action called Great Collection of Books in order to create libraries in hospitals. Those books are being used for therapies based on a nonviolent communication.

Eiffage Polska’s employees also took part in a volunteering action of renovating a socio therapeutic community center in Warsaw, funded 2,500 meals for poor children and participated in a campaign and sport charity event for a 2-year old boy who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy.
